NMSB Partner Judith Bryant wrote an article for the Winter 2017 issue of the Texas Paralegal Journal titled “Divorce and the Stay-at-Home Parent.” The article focuses on the challenges and realities of divorce for the stay-at-home parent in Texas. In the state of Texas, “alimony” to support a lifestyle at the same level is not required – what is required is meeting “minimal reasonable needs.” Bryant elaborates on the realities of “alimony”, child support, and the pros and cons of going through the challenges of divorce as a stay-at-home parent.
